An amazing opportunity to join a major food group as a Category Manager who will be expected to be the unbiased voice of reason, providing impartial advice for driving category performance through outstanding insights.

JOB SUMMARY

The role is dedicated to a Major Retailer and there will be close liaison with the Buyer and working with this company to drive their category objectives.

This role is based in Milton Keynes 4 days a week and travelling to the clients site 1 day a week.
You will need to be flexible with your working hours as the role involves frequent travel to London, visits to various stores across the country and meeting at other factory sites.

MAIN DUTIES

·Improve category performance understanding
·Lead Supplier/ category partner
·Day to day deliverables
·To drive sales and profitability on the specified account through identifying opportunities
·To influence the specified account to progress with proposed category opportunities
·To help build a relationship with the specified project teams and ensure that the company are the preferred supplier for proposed category opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

·Educated to degree level or equivalent and with category management skills and experience
·Strong analytical and numerical skills to derive insight from complex data sources and work effectively with numeric data sets and spreadsheets.
·Attention to detail and creativity skills to deliver new ways of working
·Continuous & Usage data Knowledge - AC Nielsen, IRI, Kantar (World panel, Power view and Usage), DunnHumby (IS ESSENTIAL)
·Confident decision maker and strong communication/influencing skills
·Ability to maintain and grow relationships with all levels internally and externally
·Presents a can do positive approach at all times.
·Presentation skills to deliver a clear flow and structure, from objective through analysis, observations, insights and learnings to proposals
·Time management skills and commitment to deliver to agreed timescales.
