3 Year contract (renewable).
Single contract for unmarried candidates, while Family contract offered for married candidates.
Generous Tax free basic salary offered according to experience. Salary paid in Qatari Riyals. From 15000 - 27875 QAR per month. Depending on currency rates 27875 QAR is +/- 7700 USD / 6300 EUR / 5600 GBP / 90 000 South-African Rand.
Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
40 days paid annual vacation days.
End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum: Postgraduate degree in Medical Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science, Bio Engineering, Biomedical engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Medical Imaging, Computer science.
For ‘Radiation Oncology’ & ‘Nuclear Medicine’ roles– 3 years in Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, PET CT, or PET/MR
For ‘Diagnostic Imaging’ & ‘Health Physics’ roles – 7 years in radiation fields (Medical Research, Academic) including 5 years in Radiation Safety (including non-ionizing radiation safety such as laser) or in Diagnostic Medical Physics and/or MRI.
“Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the state of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health”.

Job Specification
The Medical Physicist overseas all the physics practice in the Hospital. This includes radiation protection, Physics practice QA program, dosimetry, acceptance, testing and commissioning of new equipment training of other staff. The Medical Physicist will develop, execute and maintain programs pertaining radiation protection and safety in various practices in the medical field such as diagnostic radiology, health physics, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy.

1. Demonstrates knowledge and application of the mission, vision and values.
2. Regular monitoring of the radiation equipment to ensure correct and consistent results or outputs are achieved.
3. Plays a major role in the commissioning/acceptance testing of highly complex equipment.
4. Ensure ongoing maintenance routine is followed.
5. Training and advising technical staff on new equipment and protocols.
6. Researching new equipment developments and techniques, assessing the impact on existing local practice and compiling reports to initiate changes.
7. Acting as on-call duty physicist to respond to problems, provide advice and technical assistance.
8. Advises and consults with physicians in such applications as use of ionizing radiation in diagnostic and therapy.
9. Develops, contributes, participates and complies with quality improvement programs and competency assessment initiatives of the department.
10. Complies with policies and procedures; and in particular infection control, safety and quality Management
11. The additional specific accountabilities related to sub specialties (‘Radiation Oncology’, ‘Nuclear Medicine’, ‘Diagnostic Imaging’ & ‘Health Physics’) are attached with the relevant addendums.
12. Performs other duties as requested.
