Quality Engineer

My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team due to continued growth and expansion.

Main Function/Purpose of Job:

To support the manufacturing operation and its adherence to ISO standards, working with the Quality Manager to ensure the QMS satisfies service level expectations.

Main Duties (in order of priority):

Core duties will include the performance of, and development of

   » Audit function - Perform auditing of company processes to ensure compliance and certification to current standards(ISO 9001,14001) including both internal and external audits
   » Document Control - Support documentation control and review to maintain and improve current processes and work instructions
   » Change Control - Aid the Change Control process and follow up tasks and actions outstanding  
   » Corrective and Preventive actions – support activities,  liaise with Continuous Improvement projects and investigations
   » Support the quality management strategy and plans
   » Maintain systems to establish quality standards relating to operational activities and monitor performance against them and report on performance
   » Liaison with suppliers and customers regarding issues impacting or affected by quality issues in conjunction with supply chain personnel
   » Report Quality KPI’s, action associated improvement programs

Software & other Equipment to be used:

   » MS Office suite
   » SAGE 200 manufacturing
   » SharePoint

Experience Required:

   » Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role 
   » Previous high tech industry experience

Qualifications & Skills required:

   » Degree or equivalent
   » IRCA accredited audit training programme
   » Strong attention to detail
   » Excellent observational and analytical skills
   » Excellent written and oral communication skills
   » Good organisational skills
   » Demonstrates good interpersonal skills
   » Initiative and ability to think on feet
   » Influential
