Monday to Friday days based role

Quality Manager required for a market leading food production company offering the opportunity for long term career stability and career development as the company continues to grow year on year.

The role will suit those with experience in a similar post within ANY food environment ranging from restaurants to high volume production. Those from an abattoir, butchery, chef or meat production environment who have experience in quality control are encouraged to apply.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of quality control within the production facility on a predominantly shop floor basis. This includes all incoming and outgoing raw materials and products including packaging and labelling. Identifying non conforming items and taking appropriate corrective action will be a key part of the role, whilst regularly documenting product quality on a sample basis.

You will also contribute to the smooth running of the production operation ensuring continuous improvement. You will also handle customer complaints with the sales team, conduct factory tours with visitors and contribute to cultivating the culture of the company on the shop floor. This is a very varied role with lots of opportunity for the successful applicant to make it their own.

The Role:

*Ensuring all aspects of product quality on a predominantly shop floor basis.
*Ensuring appropriate action is taken to deal with non conforming products.
*Carry out regular reviews of stock.
*Identify potential factory improvements.
*Liaise with relevant departments to ensure all aspects of quality are maintained to high standards.

The Person:

*Have experience within a similar role in ANY food environment.
*Have strong communication skills and be able to identify and tackle problems confidently.
*Have strong IT and administrative skills.
