The Role
Spanning the areas of Housing, Debt and Welfare Benefits, this is an ideal opportunity for a Solicitor with specialisms in these matters. In Housing, you will undertake the following duties where previous experience is required: possession proceedings and eviction; unlawful eviction; homelessness including asylum support for accommodation; anti-social behaviour cases; harassment injunctions and; serious disrepair. Mortgage arrears will be your work on Debt matters and appeals to the Upper Tribunal, High Court, Court of Appeal or Supreme Court will be your work regarding Welfare Benefits. The Candidate
Applications are encouraged from Solicitors who satisfy the Supervisor requirements for the Legal Aid Agency in the areas of Housing and Debt and you must have supervised at least one full time caseworker for at least 12 months in the last five years.
The successful Solicitor will be able to handle possession, homelessness, housing disrepair and the possibility of Judicial Review proceedings.
You will have 3 years` plus PQE.
Ideally, you will possess exceptional customer care skills.
Overall, you will demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
